Fancy Top Borders

Beauty and Love

Beauty and love are all my dream;
They change not with the changing day;
Love stays forever like a stream
That flows but never flows away;

And beauty is the bright sun-bow
That blossoms on the spray that showers
Where the loud water falls below,
Making a wind among the flowers.

In this lesson, we were instructed to create a complete web set with a top border, headers, buttons and bars. In order to have the top border viewed correctly and span across the top of the page, CSS coding was used. With this method, it is not possible to use a background image, so a hex background color was used. We were instructed to create 2 different types of top borders, a fancy top border that you see here on this page, and a boxed top border that is available for viewing HERE.

Well, I am over half way through the beginner's classes and I have really enjoyed these lessons. It never ceases to amaze me, what great things can be done to web pages. I'd also like to thank Ann for being a terrific instructor.
